Game development began shortly after the release of Grand Theft Auto IV and was shared by many Rockstar studios around the world. Grand Theft Auto Online, an online multiplayer mode, allows up to 30 players to participate in different cooperative and competitive game modes. The “requested” system manages the aggression of the police reaction to players who commit crimes. The story focuses on offensive sequences, and many missions include shooting and directing the game. Players control the three main players of a single player and pass between them, during and outside the missions. The game is played from a third or first perspective and the world moves on foot or by car. The open world design allows players to move freely to the open town of San Andreas and the fictional city of Los Santos, based in Los Angeles. It is the first major entry into the 2008 Grand Theft Auto series of Grand Theft Auto IV, set in the fictional state of San Andreas, based in Southern California.

Grand Theft Auto V is a 2013 action adventure game developed by Rockstar North and released by Rockstar Games.
